As part of the inaugural exhibition of Frida Kahlo’s original works in China, Lisa Chang Lee has been invited to create a new commission alongside seven contemporary Chinese women artists in cultural dialogue with Kahlo’s legacy.
Her contribution, HZ-0 (2025 Edition), takes the form of a rose-hued cocoon where breath, climate, and sound coalesce into a living atmosphere. This immersive pink room is a reimagined adaptation of Lisa’s interactive sound installation HZ-0, designed in resonance with Frida Kahlo’s inner world.
